Mid-Season Team Updates

Hi Team Captains,

Team roster updates are due to your Division Recorder (DR) by Tuesday, Jan 1st! Teams may submit an entirely new roster, players can move to different courts, rostered players can become subs and subs can become rostered players. Subs may change clubs at the mid-season as well. Please notify your division recorder if you are using a sub who played for a different club during the first half.

Please begin to work on your team changes (if any) ASAP and notify your DR if you are making changes or not.

Keep your eye out for an email from your DR with procedures on notifying her of any updates.

Enjoy the holiday break and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you,
Jan, Janet, Sudha and Amy

Cancellations

In the event of hazardous driving conditions and/or unexpected school closings due to inclement weather, captains must contact the league Division Recorder on the morning of the match. The captains must notify their clubs by 8:00 am. ALL POSTPONED MATCHES MUST BE PLAYED as described in the rules under for discontinued play. Any team member making it difficult to reschedule the match runs the risk of being excluded from the league the following year. The Executive Committee and club manager(s) or tennis professionals involved and the Grievance Committee will be involved in such a decision. In any case where a match has not started, it is appropriate to utilize a substitute of similar level if necessary to get a match rescheduled in a timely manner. Any individual team or player who deems the roads too dangerous to travel, due to snow in her area, may arrange to play her match at another time, preferably within two weeks, but no later than midseason or week 18 if the cancellation occurs in the second half of the season at a time that is mutually agreeable to all the players involved. She must notify her captain and follow the procedure for closings, as above. Exceptions to this rule, may on occasion, be approved by the Executive Committee.
